EXECS ON THE  MOVE
Brooks Promotes Dan Sheridan; UA Hires New Chief Design Officer; Newell CEO Retiring

Left to right: Dan Sheridan and Dave Dombrow.

More than two decades into his executive career at Seattle-based Brooks Running, Dan Sheridan is being promoted to EVP and Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Sheridan spearheaded the company’s global sales effort, ecommerce, business development and customer service. In his newly configured role, he will lead the brand’s sales, ecommerce, digital, supply chain and information technology teams.

Elsewhere,

• Under Armour names Kasey Jarvis, formerly with Nike and General Motors in design roles, as its new Chief Design Officer. Jarvis, most recently VP of product and design for Black Diamond Equipment, replaces Dave Dombrow who recently left the Baltimore company for a second time.

• Newell Brands, whose portfolio includes Coleman, Contigo, Ex-Officio and Marmot, disclosed last week that President and CEO Michael Polk will retire from the Hoboken, NJ company at the end of Q2. In FY18, Newell’s Home & Outdoor Living segment, which includes Coleman, Marmot and Yankee Candle, reported an operating loss of more than $4.2 billion as revenues slipped more than 5 percent to nearly $2.95 billion. The company said unfavorable weather conditions negatively impacted Coleman’s business and cited lost distribution in certain product categories.
